While that risk is small, sharing P2P does expose your computer to others on the same network, and if someone targets you, without a VPN your personal info could be seriously compromised.įinally, while we in no way condone the downloading of illegal files, when torrenting we sometimes don’t get what we expect. Not only that, but connecting to a torrent puts you at risk of being hacked. If they detect any P2P activity, you may find your connections slowing to a crawl thanks to network throttling. While torrents are a hugely useful way of downloading large files at speed, even if the content you’re downloading is perfectly legal your ISP may not be pleased to see you doing so. Torrent safelyĪ VPN is especially important for Mac users who torrent files. If online privacy is particularly important to you then having a VPN installed is a secure way to hide your activity. Without a VPN, many companies such as Google, your ISP, and even the government are able to trace your internet activity.īy using a VPN, your online activity is encrypted which means the authorities and your ISP cannot track what you are up to. Online privacy is increasingly important for everyone who uses the internet and is something that everyone has a right to have. So, whether you’re a college student, abroad, or find you can’t access censored content for whatever reason, a VPN is one of the easiest ways to safely overcome this issue. With a good VPN, you can gain access to blocked sites securely as the VPN changes your server location and unlocks these sites. The same goes for those in countries with strict censorship laws like China. Similar to above, some schools or workplaces block content, such as social media or streaming sites, which means when you are connected to their Wi-Fi you won’t be able to access certain sites. Netflix and other streaming services have regional blocks which prevent residents from accessing content libraries with a huge variety of shows to choose from. Mac users with a streaming VPN can easily switch up their location to a different country and bypass any geo-restricted content. On a brighter note, one of the best things about a VPN is being able to access streaming content in other countries. However, we recommend using a VPN for added security when online, since any protection your Mac provides ends when you send your data into the wild. That was really the only "rocking" element to the entire show that I thought was cool. The drum solo sounded like a reel if you paid attention. I'm still not moved to buy any of her albums, but it was good to see her play again. She's still one hell of a fiddler, though, and judging by her between-song banter and all the bouncing around she was doing while she was playing, she is indeed an incurable goofball. Last night there was plenty of that, but I wasn't as impressed as the last time-I think she's got too much rock stuff going on in her band now (full drum kit, electric guitar and bass, Hammond organ). ( JoAnn Whetsell) Comments about live performance: woj and I had seen her once before, at the Philadelphia Folk Festival a couple years ago, and she blew me away then with her goofy energy. I like the mix on this album enough to go look for her earlier and more traditional work. I was only introduced to her music through her most recent album, In My Hands, and I generally have a greater liking for more pop/rock influenced Celtic music than other ectophiles. Natalie co-wrote the lyrics to the song "In My Hands." General comments: I actually have all of her CDs except the latest one, and I highly recommend her more traditional efforts, especially A Compilation, which takes her first two tape-only albums and puts them on CD, and My Roots Are Showing. But i wouldn't have solved it without your thread. I found out the problem shortly after i posted my comment. Just guessing but it could be your Windows or the Astro's configuration. What model of Astro's and what make and model of motherboard do you have? Can you please help me out with whats going on and how you fixed it? Presets and voice/game chat knob works but then when i plug the mix amp into my pc. Hey, i am having the same problem where everything seems to work great on my xbox one. I also had soundblaster open at that time. My theory is that the optical wasn't connected to my PC'S output fully. I have no idea what changed, but works now. The mix amp's EQ presets started working, even surround sound did. I thought I messed it up, but then in my playback devices, I switched my default playback device to one of the two optical devices listed, and my headset started blasting music. After I plugged them back in to my PC, the audio became really faint. It wasn't my mixamp or cable since they worked on my PS3. If the optical in isn't still working it could be the cable is bad, the connections are bad or just the mix amp is bad. Plug in the Astro's and make sure your windows audio config is correct. I would uninstall the Creative software and start from the beginning. The software was made for lower end/mid end motherboards that didn't include any good surround software. You didn't need the software in the first place. The Astro mix amp is the sound card and simulated surround processor so my guess is that the Sound Blaster software is conflicting with the mix amp. How do I make it so that it comes from the Optical so I can actually use the surround sound feature on my mixamp? Thanks. If I disconnect the Optical cable, the sound keeps playing, which means the audio is coming from USB. What am I doing wrong? I even set my output to Optical on my Playback devices, but that played nothing through my Astro A40. Also, the equalizer presets seem to do nothing at all. I have the Creative Soundblaster XiFi MB 3 audio software, with a Gigabyte GA Z97X Gaming 7 motherboard. The reason I want Optical is because I want surround sound, even if it's simulated. I have it connected to my PC with USB and Optical output, but for the life of me I can't get the mixamp to stream the Optical audio. The power button's on top instead of the bottom like the old one. I'm talking about the 2013 edition, where the mixamp does NOT have a battery pack. Sound quality is great, the mixamp has great build quality. So I recently got the Astro A40, and I was really excited. Among the programs that determine eligibility based on the AMI are Section 8, HOME, LIHTC, Section 515, 202 and 811. Yes How much is your own technology and how much is adapted or licensed from others? If not, is the solution designed for both banks and re/insurance companies? Not specifically, but we have a number of insurers using SAS EGRC. Over 10 years ago Was the solution developed specifically for the insurance industry? This can be used in operational risk frequency and severity capital models. It is also packaged with the SAS Global Risk Database which includes over 24,000 publicly known losses. This means that users can build rich reports that can be distributed via a web browser, email or paper, and analyse the EGRC data directly from within the MS Office applications. However, it is also packaged with the powerful SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence suite and the SAS MS Office Add-In. SAS EGRC has its own powerful reporting functionality that allows users to analyse the data within the system. It also includes a powerful workflow and notification engine to ensure that users are kept fully appraised of the status and progress of items in the system. The system is fully customisable which means that it fits the organisation's processes rather than organisations having to shape their business around the system. SAS EGRC also includes modules for scenario management, key risk indicators and audit management. It provides risk and senior management with a complete solution for managing policies, compliance, risks, controls, issues and Incidents. SAS EGRC is a web-browser-based system that can be hosted, cloud-based or installed on in-house hardware. Enterprise-wide governance, risk and compliance system Description of solution 1/11/2024 0 Comments Dnd 3.5 warblade guideYou can adjust any number of your feats in this way, and you don?t have to adjust them all in the same way. For example, if you wish to change the designated weapon for your Weapon Focus feat from greatsword to longsword, you must have a longsword available to practice with during your practice session. You must have the newly designated weapon available during your practice session to make this change. Each morning, you can spend 1 hour in weapon practice to change the designated weapon for any feat you have that applies only to a single weapon (such as Weapon Focus). You also have the flexibility to adjust your weapon training. Thus, a fighter 2/warblade 4 would also qualify for Weapon Specialization. These effective fighter levels stack with any actual fighter levels you have. For example, as a 6th-level warblade, you could take Weapon Specialization, since you?re treated as being a 4th-level fighter for this purpose. You qualify for feats that usually require a minimum number of fighter levels (such as Weapon Specialization) as if you had a fighter level equal to your warblade level ?2. Weapon Aptitude (Ex): Your training with a wide range of weaponry and tactics gives you great skill with particular weapons. As long as you are not flat-footed, you gain an insight bonus equal to your Intelligence bonus (maximum equals your warblade level) on your Reflex saves. Unlike with maneuvers, you cannot learn a new stance at higher levels in place of one you already know.īattle Clarity (Ex): You can enter a state of almost mystical awareness of the battlefield around you. A stance is an extraordinary ability unless otherwise stated in the stance description. All the stances you know are available to you at all times, and you can change the stance you are currently using as a swift action. Unlike maneuvers, stances are not expended, and you do not have to ready them. At 4th, 10th, and 16th level, you can choose additional stances. Stances Known: You begin play with knowledge of one 1st level stance from any discipline open to warblades. You cannot initiate a maneuver or change your stance while you are recovering your expended maneuvers, but you can remain in a stance in which you began your turn. You can recover all expended maneuvers with a single swift action, which must be immediately followed in the same round with a melee attack or using a standard action to do nothing else in the round (such as executing a quick, harmless flourish with your weapon). When you initiate a maneuver, you expend it for the current encounter, so each of your readied maneuvers can be used once per encounter (until you recover them, as described below). You begin an encounter with all your readied maneuvers unexpended, regardless of how many times you might have already used them since you chose them. You need not sleep or rest for any long period of time to ready your maneuvers any time you spend 5 minutes in practice, you can change your readied maneuvers. The maneuvers you choose remain readied until you decide to exercise again and change them. You ready your maneuvers by exercising for 5 minutes. Maneuvers Readied: You can ready all three of the maneuvers you know at 1st level, but as you advance in level and learn more maneuvers, you must choose which maneuvers to ready. You can swap only a single maneuver at any given level. For example, upon reaching 10th level, you could trade in a single 1st-, 2nd-, 3rd- or 4th-level maneuver for a maneuver of 5th level or lower, as long as you meet the prerequisite of the new maneuver. You can choose a new maneuver of any level you like, as long as you observe your restriction on the highest-level maneuvers you know you need not replace the old maneuver with a maneuver of the same level. In effect, you lose the old maneuver in exchange for the new one. Upon reaching 4th level, and at every even-numbered warblade level after that (6th, 8th, 10th, and so on), you can choose to learn a new maneuver in place of one you already know. See Table 3?1, page 39, to determine the highest-level maneuvers you can learn. You must meet a maneuver?s prerequisite to learn it. You learn additional maneuvers at higher levels, as shown on Table 1?3. Your maneuvers are not affected by spell resistance, and you do not provoke attacks of opportunity when you initiate one. A maneuver usable by warblades is considered an extraordinary ability unless otherwise noted in its description. Once you know a maneuver, you must ready it before you can use it (see Maneuvers Readied, below). The disciplines available to you are Diamond Mind, Iron Heart, Stone Dragon, Tiger Claw, and White Raven. Maneuvers: You begin your career with knowledge of three martial maneuvers. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: You are proficient with simple and martial melee weapons (including those that can be used as thrown weapons), light and medium armor, and all shields except tower shields. |
